Cool Jazz with a Taste of Winter

Come in out of the cold and enjoy an appetizer and dessert bar while you enjoy the amazing talents of Tom Cutts and his Jazz Gospel Ensemble at the Life Center. Cost is $10 per person. BIO

We introduce to some and present to others, Tom Cutts. Tom is a gifted guitarist, songwriter singer. His musical styling blends gospel, jazz, blues, R&B, and rock. His concerts bring refreshing covers of many musical standards and include original music penned in multiple genres.

Tom has shared the stage with many notable artists such as Jessica Reedy, Tasha Page Lockhart, Marvin Sapp, Al Green, Angela Christie, Shirley Caesar, Andre Crouch, James Cleveland, and others. He has performed with the Gospel Music Workshop of America, Bobby Jones Gospel Show, Singsations Gospel show and various television, radio, and showcases across the USA.  In 2012, Tom was a regional finalist in the Guitar Center “Battle of the Blues” contest. He has played many genres in various music festivals, churches, and venues throughout West Michigan and the U.S. Tom is a member of local #56.  

Tom comes from a “musical family” known for making a” joyful noise” that uplifts the spirit and stirs the soul. His single, Sunday Morning Shuffle is released on CDBaby, and Itunes.   He is working on an E.P. of original music. Join us as we celebrate African American history and culture at Taste of Soul Sunday. Sample African American art, music, literature, history, and food. Performances by Tom Cutts, Yolanda Lavender, Asamu Johnson and the Associates of Blues, and The Gospel Believers. Presentations by author Stephen Mack Jones, storyteller Shani Womack, the Ebony Road Players, and New Hope Baptist Live African American Museum.
